Having successfully worked with Galliford Try — at the All England Lawn Tennis Club in Wimbledon — Datum was appointed to work at The Grove, the prestigious five-star luxury hotel, spa and golf resort in Hertfordshire.

Their appointment was to work on the interior of the new Cedar Suite, which included bespoke joinery and metalwork. Feature columns and doors were clad in copper with an elaborate patina finish. A structural steel curved acoustic wall was fabricated in Datum’s metal workshop and houses a large credenza and AV equipment behind secret doors — all clad and finished in a bespoke hand-printed fabric.

Working to designs by leading London interior designer, Martin Hulbert Design, the final result is a stunning new conference and wedding venue, in a garden setting adjacent to The Grove’s main building.

The Grove, Galliford Try and Martin Hulbert were so impressed with the result that Datum was subsequently appointed to work as part of the team on the phased refurbishment of the Amber Suite.
