Working very closely with Meváris’s founder and creative director, Fatos Altinbas, the design concept was produced by London-based Innovare Design in conjunction with our drawing office and project team, who completed the design development and fit-out. 

Although we have previously completed projects in the Grade 2 listed Burlington Arcade, where there can be no disruption to the other boutiques, Covid-19 restrictions added further challenges of working in a confined space on a small site.

The fit-out was completed in just six weeks and involved a retail area on the ground floor, a VIP area on first floor, with a store room, office and staff facilities on the second floor.

The upper floors are accessed via the original staircases, which were refurbished, with new wall, floor and ceiling finishes throughout the building, with new lighting added, including feature chandeliers.

Bespoke metalwork elements including 3D logos and Turkish screens were installed along with new bespoke display cabinets to showcase Meváris’s hand-crafted collections of fine jewellery.

Our client was very happy with the new boutique, which opened in time for the important Christmas trading period and commented: “I am absolutely delighted with the result. Everyone who has visited the store so far has adored it. Thank you [Datum] for your painstaking efforts.”
